Anorexic is the term used to describe a person suffering from anorexia. Anorexics have a 10 to 15% reduction to their normal body weight, making them thin and skinny. Even though they are already slim, they still have the mindset that they are fat or overweight. This can be attributed to their extreme or intense fear of being fat, although they aren’t. Based on this unfounded fear, they develop these bad eating and nutritional habits which harm their bodies in a short period of time.
Anorexia nervosa is a psychological disorder related to eating. The four basic criteria for the diagnosis of anorexia nervosa are: the refusal to maintain a minimum, standard body weight; an intense fear of gaining weight or becoming fat; a grossly distorted self perception; and at least three consecutive missed periods in women. About 95% of those affected by this condition are female, and the manifestation of this condition is typically during early adolescence
Anorexia can cause harmful and irreversible effects to your body if left untreated over a long period of time. This kind of eating practice degrades the body over time, making it look slim at first, but eventually making it look skeletal or sickly from being underweight due to malnourishment.
The parts of the anorexia treatment are involving especially the eating habits. Anorexic persons must try to follow a healthy eating plan. Their main objective must be to gain weight. Asthma is a frightening condition. I have lived with asthma symptoms for 17 years and the thought of an allergy induced asthma attack is ever present each day. Always being sensitive to the beginning signs of an asthma attack are important so that one can avoid a trip too the emergency room of the local hospital or medical center.
Asthma symptoms are experienced in varying degrees. Some may experience mild symptoms, while some may have life-threatening conditions. You can suffer from asthma symptoms once every few months, every week or even every day. Mostly, these symptoms are caused by changes in the airways. Different irritants, such as pollen, dust, extreme weather and tiredness, can be considered culprits
Asthma attack symptoms are easily recognized. Among these symptoms include the increase in urination, thirstiness, and irritation of the throat and nose. These symptoms commonly occur before asthma attacks. However, not all asthmatic persons would experience similar severity of symptoms. Just the same, it may always vary depending on the peculiar pattern of the early signs of symptoms. If not properly treated, these symptoms can lead to severe distress of the respiratory system.
Asthma attacks have early warning signs. It is important to recognize these signs so that you can begin treatment of an attack as early as possible. The sooner you begin treatment the better the results you can expect from the treatment given. The symptoms of asthma can be confused with other respiratory conditions as well as in conditions of the heart, and testing is very important in the determination of what kind of asthma you have.
